My rates are simple- $25 per hour from the time I arrive at your home, or if I am shopping for you, from my arrival at the market plus food at cost. A typical visit will last 3-5 hours, depending on number of meals and the chosen entrées. I will suggest entrées whose cooking times complement one another.
If I do the shopping, I will use the store and the types of products that you specify (for example, organic, least expensive or best quality that day) on the way to your appointment. If you would like me to pick up additional items to complete your grocery shopping, just let me know the night before your appointment. Shopping will take about an hour.
If you would prefer to do your own shopping, I will provide a list of necessary ingredients and rough quantities several days in advance, and will verify you were able to get everything before your appointment.
Some items cannot reliably be purchased ready to use, so I will request that you purchase those separately. I’ll let you know that when we set up your menu and send a reminder prior to my visit. This would include things like avocadoes (completely unpredictable whether they’ll be ripe or not), whole duck or turkey (generally frozen solid) or game meat (generally unavailable in most supermarkets, but widely available online).
